All You Got
05:12
|

Brought a gift
And I hope it will appease.
I hope it lifts unease.
Oh, I hope I do, I hope I do.
Build a house for the homeless
Give your heart to the loveless
Give it all, give it all you got.
All you got, all you got.
Until you’ve got naught left to give anymore.
Anymore.
And after this, you beg me to stay.
Yet I push you away.
‘Cause I’ll take all.
All you got.

Look who has awoken.
A man with nothing to fear or to lose.
Who begs for nothing and bows to none.
Begs for nothing and bows to none.
We all feel your presence
Away with your darkness, my light will shine
‘Cause I’ll remain patient when you’re out of time. While I see your piercing gaze into mine
Your sins outweigh your virtues.
Pray to the gods, they won’t forsake you.
You’ll beg for forgiveness when your life’s on the line.
The joke is on you, ‘cause judgement is mine.
I see your silhouette in the corner of my eye. Everything I say to you is met with a sigh. Oh.
Always a guest, never a host, I feel I’m dealing with a ghost
And still I begged for your love and bowed to your grace. The things that you do to save face.
The bridge has been burnt now the tables have turned
It’s dear to your heart, the manipulative arts. I once was your subject, now I no longer take part.
I know you got “love” to give, but I want none.
Now I end up where you began. In poverty and wealth, in sickness and in health.
Now I beg for nothing and bow to none.
It’s close to your heart, manipulative art.
‘Till death do us part.

Waltz of the Madman
04:52
|
|||
On a breezy evening
You beckoned me, in need of saving
You don’t know how to dance
And you’d like to learn from me
I’ll show you the ropes
Just follow my footsteps
You’ll be fine, I swear
I just hope that your spine can bend like mine
And it goes like: (will you dance with me, dance with me)
Now that you’ve got the hang of it
I see a flaw, your sanity is holding you back
Every sane man has an itch in their skull that they all leave unscratched out of fear of what they might become, what they might become.
But the truth will set you free
If you dance with me, you’ll see angels break chains and rip at their wings when in pain.
For light they set course with acid filled lungs and barb wired vocal cords.
Well, you’ll only see
When you dance with me
Distorted:
Now, now you can see
That sickness and art
They mean the same to me
You call us madmen, take a look at your own
You’re all dancing, as I have shown
We dance as slaves
When your beauty comes in waves
And washes us all
Away

One Thing I Can Do
05:49
|
|||
Every so often, a drama occurs
Close your blue eyes as the truth unfurls
We’ve been led astray to a cliff sided hill
Now it’s out of our hands, we can’t do a thing
One thing we can do is sing
I’m wide awake, my thoughts make me weep. I think I should go back to sleep.
And we know, what awaits us down below.
It’s the end, my friend. Now it’s time to go.
No prophet around that could split the sea, I wish you were here next to me. But it’s out of my hands and I can’t do a thing. The one thing I can do, is sing.
The evening is cloaked in symphony and if I’m honest there’s no place I’d rather be.
When you burn twice as bright, you last half as long, and I have burned brighter than our own sun.
It’s out of my hands and I can’t do a thing, the one thing I can do is sing. While I’m wide awake, my thoughts make me weep. I think I should go back to sleep.
When faced with defeat, we hold our heads up high
Not a word has been said, but love is still felt
When it’s out of our hands and not a thing can be done, we agreed that we’d burst into song
Well the moment is now so let’s make it count. I hope I will see you around.
A spot in the history books, as long as my name. I fear that my victories will go up in flame. But there’s one silver lining that adds all the worth. That the ashes will fall down and feed the earth.
You reap what you sow, I did what I could and the future will bear the fruit.
What once was in my hands, I gave to you.
I’m going up into the blue.

We Need To Talk

I want to blow it up
blow it up to smithereens
They say, when we’re out there,
We’d get broken, bruised.
Twisted, stabbed and abused.
Pulled apart, twisted inside out.
Like a dough, we’ll get baked and eaten alive
Oh, is it really true?
Oh, I think I found it out!
They’re the wolves and we are the sheep
You’ve seen them with their bellies full
Oh, and I think I can hear them sharpen their knives.
We are next.
Oh, I’m gonna blow it up.
Blow it up to smithereens.
I’ve got the fuse, and I’ve got the nerves
They’re all smoke and mirrors, fragile and breakable
We will see what they’re made of
Tonight I’ll plan my great escape
And we will see our friends again
Soon...
Free, we are free
That’s what I want to believe.
I’ll sail, sail to the end of the world
And when I get there, I’ll fall off
And spread my wings and fly.
Fly, I’m gonna fly to the top of the sky
‘Till my wings burn up
Fall to the ground with a bang
Oh, get up and run
Oh, I’ll run
And when I arrive,
I’ll blow it all up to smithereens.
